JASO T903
The JASO T903 standard is an index to
select engine oils for 4-stroke motorcy-
cle and ATV engines. Motorcycle and
ATV engines lubricate clutch and trans-
mission gears with engine oil. JASO
T903 specifies performance require-
ments for motorcycle and ATV clutches
and transmissions.
There are two classes, MA(MA1, MA2)
and MB. For example, the oil container
shows the MA classification as follows.
1 Code number of oil sales company
2 Oil classification
CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Check the engine oil level as follows:
1. Place the motorcycle on level
ground on the side stand.
2. Start the engine and allow it to idle
for three minutes.
3. Stop the engine and wait three min-
utes.
