HOW TO USE THE BRAKE SYSTEM
1. Twist the throttle grip away from yourself
to close the throttle completely.
2. Apply the front and rear brakes evenly
and at the same time.
3. Downshift through the gears as road
speed decreases.
4. Select neutral with the clutch lever
squeezed toward the grip (disengaged
position) when the motorcycle is almost
completely stopped.
WARNING
Inexperienced riders tend to underuse
the front brake. This can cause exces-
sive stopping distance and lead to a
crash. Using only the front or rear brake
can cause skidding and loss of control.
Apply both brakes evenly and at the
same time.
WARNING
Hard braking on wet, loose, rough, or
other slippery surfaces can cause wheel
skid and loss of control.
Brake lightly and with care on slippery or
irregular surfaces.
