IGNITION SWITCH
The ignition switch has 3 positions.
“OFF” position
All electrical circuits are cut off. The
engine will not start. The key can be
removed.
“ON” position
The ignition circuit is completed and the
engine can be started. The headlight,
front turn signal light and taillight will
automatically turn on. The key cannot
be removed in this position.
NOTE: Start the engine promptly after
turning the key to the “ON” position, or
the battery will lose power due to con-
sumption by the headlight and taillight.
“P” (PARKING) position
The taillight will come on to increase
visibility for temporary road side parking
at night. Push down the key and turn it
to the “P” position. The key can be
removed.
