Drivemotorsforthescrolleraremountedbehindthefixedroller.Eachmotorisconnectedvia
aDCpowerwiresconsistingofaredandablackwireattachedtoamini‐fitjuniormodular
connectorthatplugstothecorrespondingconnectoronthemotorleadandanencodercable
consistingofablue,brown,greenandyellowwireconnectedtoaC‐Grid6‐positionconnector
thatplugsintotheencodersocketneartheshaftendofthemotor.
Thecolormotorsaremountedwith24‐40x1/2screws.
*Ifyoususpectmotorfailure,tryrotatingthemotorshaftwiththepoweroff.Iftheshaft
rotatesevenlyandsmoothly,themotorisprobablynottheproblem.Badmotorsgenerally
exhibitroughnessorexcessiveresistancewhenturnedbyhand.
Thescrolleremploystwodrivebelts.Ashortbeltconnectsthefixed(non‐springloaded)roller
tothedrivemotor.Ontheoppositesideoftheunit,alongbeltlinksthefixedmotortothe
springloadedroller.Intheeventthatoneofthescrollerbeltsmustbechanged,followthe
stepsbelow.
Toreplacetheshortbeltwhichcouplesthescrollerdrivemotortothefixedroller,removeth
e
motormountscrewsandpullthemotorouttoremovethebelt.Thebeltmaythenbeslipped
onoroff.Oncereplaced,themotorshouldberotatedtorestoretensionandsecurely
tightenedintoplace.Theremustbe1/8”slackontheshortbeltatalltimes.Neverremoveall
oftheslackfromthisbeltoryouwillhaveprematuremotorfailure.
Toreplacethelongbeltthatcouplesthetworollers,thepulleysattachedtotherollersmustbe
removed.Eachpulleyissecuredwithasetscrew.Inremovingorreplacingthepulleys,care
shouldbeta
kentoremoveorreplacethepulleyssimultaneouslysoastoavoidbindingonthe
