4.2 Remote Display
When the RS232 interface is fitted the option is available to connect a remote display,
such as a unit from the SY033 range. Press the 4 key to indicate state, on or off.
With remote display on, anything shown on the LED display, will also be shown on the
remote display. The information is sent to the display as an ASCII string terminated in
Carriage Return. Use the 5 6 keys to toggle between the states. When correct press
PROG.
4.3 Printer
This function is available when the RS232 option is fitted. It allows a displayed value to be sent to a
printer together with an incrementing reference number. The printout also has an 8 character label
following the displayed reading which can be used to define units. A text heading can also be
included as well as a time/date stamp. To set up these features press the PROG button then
press 5 or 6 until Print is displayed.
Press the 4 key to show rEF. This is a reference number which increments each time
the displayed value is printed. To view the current value press the 4 key. To change it
press the 4 key again. Use the 5 6 & 4 keys to set the value then press PROG.
TYPE indicates the type of printout required. Press the 4 key, then the 5 6 keys to
select the type required. Type L would print a log in the form of the reference, the
reading and the text label,
e.g. Ref:12345 25.62 Tonne
Type HL would print a text header as well as the log.
e.g. Acme Trading Co. Ltd.
Ref:12345 25.62 Tonne
Type Ldt would print the log and a date/time stamp.
e.g Ref:12345 25.62 Tonne

When correct press PROG.
FEED defines the number of line feeds sent to the printer after text. The number
required will vary depending on the type of printer. Press the 4 key to indicate the
current setting. The value n defines the following values:

0 - 9 0 - 9 Line feeds
A 10 line feeds
b 11 " "
C 12 " "
d 13 " "
E 14 " "
F 1 Form Feed (special case)
When correct press PROG.
