1. General
Characteristics
COPILOT 15" is the solution offered by SYSTEM
Electronics to combine an advanced graphic interface
on board the machine with a reliable and mechanically
robust hardware platform.
The unit consists of an impact and liquid-resistant
terminal, which is easily installed and adjusted by
a fastening support compatible with the VESA 100
standard.
The terminal has an SVGA 1024×768 and resistive
touch-screen graphic display.
Thanks to the new integrated Wireless solutions,
such as Wi-Fi, the COPILOT 15" terminal can run as a
supervisor of the equipment connected to the machine
and communicate with remote devices, such as the
Copilot 10.4".

3. COPILOT 15" -
Description and
operation
3.1 Switch-on and Switch-off
The COPILOT 15" has a power button on the rear side:
press it to switch the CPU on and off. An acoustic signal
warns the user when the terminal goes on.
The open applications close automatically and then the
power supply is disconnected if pressed while Windows
is running.
The system is ACPI compatible.
In other operating systems, the COPILOT 15" shuts
down by keeping the button pressed for more than 4
seconds.
When running on battery, UPS management allows
the user to be informed when voltage is present. In
normal conditions, the internal emergency batteries
allow minimum autonomy of 10 minutes (generally 15
minutes). When the remaining power is used up, the CPU
goes off so as to prevent damaging the batteries.
When no voltage is present, it is advisable to immediately
close the applications and shutdown the terminal.
The power button function can be congured so as to
allow the system to be shutdown or suspended, as shown
in the gure below.
