Mounting - coupling
1 Checking gearbox
*) Models 4028 C - 4032 C - 4036 C cannot be fitted with wide-angle hitch.
It is dangerous to couple a tractor with a 1000 r.p.m. P.T.O. to a machine fitted
with a gearbox for 540 r.p.m. P.T.O.

- 3 Tractor drawbar
The tractor drawbar must not be offset and must be fitted with a fork as shown at B. The clevis
C must be fitted with a retaining pin. If the tractor cannot be fitted with a fork, use optional
equipment No. 45.356.300, as shown in illustration 4.
Coupling of machine and tractor must be carried out according to directions. If the
machine becomes disconnected from the tractor it could cause severe injury or death.
The tractor drawbar must be fitted with a fork and the clevis must be fitted with a
retaining pin. Observe local regulations concerning trailer coupling.

- 5 Height of drawbar
The height of the drawbar can be altered by means of an adjustable drawbar mounting D as
shown. The drawbar should be as horizontal as possible taking the following into consideration:
Check that the difference in height between the tractor's and the machine's P.T.O.
shafts E and F is not more than 80 mm. Otherwise the P.T.O. shaft will oscillate
in rotation and hereby overload the machine's transmission.
