GAP CALIBRATION
This option sets the gap offset between the upper platen
and the grill for all clam menu items. Press the GAP
CALIBRATION key to enter the Gap Calibration mode.
When the STANDBY button is pressed, the platen gap
will default to 0.255 in. in this mode.
The display will show a number and the Up and Down
arrows. The Up arrow key increases the offset and the
Down arrow key decreases the offset. This value is
adjustable from -0.100 to 0.100. (Each increment
represents approximately one thousandth [.001] of an
inch.) Pressing the EXIT key exits this mode and saves
the offset setting.
The gap can only be calibrated when the grill and the
platen are at or above set point temperatures. If the grill
is not at set point temperature, TOO COOL is displayed.
Note: Heaters will cycle normally during this time.
See “Gapping Procedures” starting on page 2-24 for
complete gapping instructions.
