Ensure that your domestic mains supply voltage
matches the voltage indicated on the identication
sticker located at the back of your set. Where the
mains plug, AC inlet or an appliance coupler is used
as disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.
On certain models, the light indicator is located at the
side of the TV set. The absence of a light indication
at the front does not mean that the TV set is fully
disconnected from the mains. To disconnect the TV
set completely, the mains plug must be pulled out.
The TV set’s components are sensitive to heat. The
maximum ambient temperature
should not exceed
35º
Celsius. Do not cover the vents at the back or
sides of the TV set. Leave su󰀩cient space around it to
allow adequate ventilation. Install the appliance away
from any source of heat (replace, etc.) or appliances
creating strong magnetic or electric elds.
Moisture
in rooms where the set is installed should
not exceed
75%
humidity. Moving the set from a cold
place to a warm one can cause condensation on the
screen (and on some components inside the TV set).
Let the condensation evaporate before switching the
TV set on again.
The or
POWER/
button on the TV set or the
button on the remote control can be used to switch it
on and put it into standby mode. If you are
not going
to be watching the TV for a lengthy period of time
,
switch it o󰀨 completely by removing the plug from the
mains power socket.
During
thunderstorms
, we recommend that you
disconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial so
that it is not a󰀨ected by electrical or electromagnetic
surges that could damage it. For this reason, keep the
mains and aerial sockets
accessible so they can be
disconnected
, if necessary.
Unplug
the TV set immediately if you notice it giving
o󰀨 a
smell of burning
or
smoke
. You must never,
under any circumstances, open the TV set yourself,
as you run the risk of an
electric shock
in doing so.

Function Description

This television set is designed for domestic household use, offering a range of features for entertainment and connectivity. It allows users to watch digital TV channels, access Smart TV applications, connect to the internet, and interact with various external devices. The TV supports multiple input sources, including Blu-ray Disc players, HD game consoles, HD camcorders, and CI modules. It also incorporates advanced features like Variable Refresh Rate for smooth gaming, Apple AirPlay and HomeKit for wireless content sharing, and Multi Visual for enjoying different programs simultaneously. The TV is equipped with a hands-free voice control feature, allowing for convenient operation through voice commands. HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV) is supported on certain digital TV channels, providing interactive television over broadband Internet.

Usage Features

Initial Setup:

Upon first switching on the TV, a "Welcome" screen guides users through the initial setup process. This includes selecting the language, connecting to the network, and scanning for channels. Users can skip steps and configure settings later via the settings menu.

Basic TV Operations:

  • Switching On/Off: The TV can be turned on from standby mode by pressing the power button on the set or the remote control. To put it into standby, press the power button on the remote. For complete power off, unplug the mains plug.
  • Accessing Channels: Channels can be accessed by scrolling with navigation buttons, using the OK button to display the channel list, or using the CH∧ / / buttons. The LIST button also displays the channel list.
  • Watching Connected Devices: Press the source button on the remote to display the source list, then select the desired input source (e.g., HDMI1) and confirm with OK.
  • Adjusting Volume: Use the VOL+/- buttons to increase or decrease the volume. The mute button temporarily mutes the sound.
  • Smart TV Homepage: Press the home button on the remote to access the Smart TV homepage, where Apps, functions, and settings can be selected.
  • Settings Menu: Press the settings button on the remote to display the dashboard menu, then select "Settings" and press OK. Navigate through submenus using ∧/∨, and confirm or adjust settings with OK or </> buttons.

Advanced TV Operations:

  • Installing Channels: Channels can be searched and stored automatically via the "Channel scan" option in the settings menu. Users select their country/region, tuner mode (Cable, Antenna, or Satellite), and then initiate the search.
  • Common Interface: Encrypted digital TV channels can be decoded using a common interface module and a card from a digital TV service operator. The module is inserted into the CI slot, and its services are activated after a few minutes.
  • Subtitles: Subtitles can be enabled or disabled via the "Subtitle" option in the settings menu. Users can select preferred subtitle languages (1st and 2nd) and subtitle types (e.g., Hearing impaired).
  • Teletext: The TV supports Teletext, allowing users to select decoding page language and digital Teletext language for multi-language services.
  • External Devices Control (CEC): This function allows searching for CEC devices connected via HDMI and enables one-touch play and standby. CEC can be enabled or disabled in the "External devices control (CEC)" menu.
  • HbbTV: HbbTV provides interactive television over broadband Internet on certain digital TV channels. To use it, ensure the TV is connected to the Internet and HbbTV is switched on in the "HbbTV settings" menu.
  • EPG (Electronic Programme Guide): The EPG displays scheduled digital TV programs. It can be accessed via the "EPG" option in settings or by pressing the dedicated EPG button on the remote.
  • Bluetooth Function: (Not available on all models) Bluetooth allows connecting audio devices, mice, or keyboards wirelessly. Devices can be paired via "Remotes and accessories" in settings.
  • Quick Start Function: This feature enables faster TV turn-on from standby but increases standby power consumption. It can be toggled on/off in "Power and energy" settings.
  • Networked Waking Up: This function allows turning on the TV from standby via a network using a smartphone app. It requires the TV to be connected to a wireless network, the controller to be on the same network, and an app supporting networked waking up (e.g., YouTube) to be installed.
  • Variable Refresh Rate (VRR): This feature provides smooth gaming and eliminates screen tearing by dynamically changing the refresh rate up to 144Hz. It is available on specific HDMI ports and requires "Game Master" to be set to Auto or On.
  • Apple AirPlay and HomeKit: (Not available on all models) Allows wireless content sharing from iOS/iPadOS/macOS devices and control via the Home app. It is enabled by default and can be configured in "AirPlay and HomeKit Settings."
  • Multi Visual: This function allows enjoying different programs simultaneously on one TV. It is enabled by default and requires the phone to be Android OS with WiFi on. Users connect their phone to the TV via the "Multi Visual" option.
  • Blue Light Filter: This feature reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the screen to lessen visual fatigue. It can be toggled on/off in "Picture > Advanced settings > Colour."

Maintenance Features

General Care:

  • Cleaning: Use a glass-cleaning product and a soft cloth for the screen. For the rest of the set, use a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid strong, alcohol-based, or abrasive products, as they can damage the screen or TV.
  • Ventilation: Regularly dust the vents at the back and sides of the TV. Ensure sufficient space (more than 10cm) around the TV for adequate ventilation and do not cover openings with items like newspapers or curtains.
  • Environmental Conditions: The TV should be installed away from heat sources (fireplace, strong magnetic/electric fields). Humidity in the room should not exceed 75%. If moving the TV from a cold to a warm place, allow condensation to evaporate before switching it on.
  • Power Management: If not watching the TV for a lengthy period, switch it off completely by removing the plug from the mains power socket to save energy.
  • Thunderstorms: During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV from the mains and aerial to protect it from electrical or electromagnetic surges. Keep sockets accessible for this purpose.

Troubleshooting (Self-Help):

The manual provides a troubleshooting section to address common issues before requesting service:

  • No Picture or Sound: Check power cord, source type, antenna connection, volume/mute settings, and headphone connection.
  • Unclear Picture: Check antenna cable, signal reception, and disconnect other peripherals (e.g., VHS camera). Address "ghosting" or "double image" by using a highly directional antenna, and eliminate horizontal dotted lines by turning off or removing electrical interference sources (e.g., hair dryer, neon lights).
  • Picture Too Dark, Light, or Tinted: Adjust colour, brightness, and sharpness settings.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Check batteries, ensure the remote sensor window on the TV front is not obstructed by strong fluorescent lighting, and clean the sensor window with a soft cloth.

Safety Precautions:

  • Mains Voltage: Ensure the TV's mains supply voltage matches the identification sticker.
  • Disconnect Device: If the mains plug or appliance coupler is used as a disconnect device, it must remain readily operable. For complete disconnection, pull out the mains plug.
  • Overheating: Do not cover vents; leave adequate space for ventilation.
  • Moisture: Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing, and do not place liquid-filled objects (e.g., vases) on it.
  • Batteries: Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for a long time. Dispose of used batteries according to local recycling instructions.
  • Fire/Electric Shock: Do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture. Unplug immediately if a burning smell or smoke is detected. Never open the TV yourself.
  • Falling TV: Always use manufacturer-recommended cabinets, stands, or mounting methods. Ensure the TV is safely supported and not overhanging the edge of furniture. Educate children about climbing hazards. Route cords and cables to prevent tripping. Avoid unstable locations and anchor tall furniture if the TV is placed on it. Do not place materials between the TV and supporting furniture. Remove tempting items (toys, remote controls) from the TV or furniture top.
  • High Voltage: The internal parts of the TV contain high voltage. Do not make contact with any internal part.
  • Fuse: The fuse may be in the neutral; disconnect mains to de-energize phase conductors.
  • Wall Mounting: Securely attach the apparatus to the floor/wall according to instructions.
  • RF Exposure: Maintain a use distance of at least 100cm.
  • Antenna/Cable System: If connected, ensure it is grounded by a skilled person to protect against voltage surges and static charges.
  • Glass Screen: The TV screen is made of glass and can break if dropped or impacted.
  • Non-active Pixels: A few non-active pixels (fixed blue, green, or red points) may appear on the screen but do not affect performance.
