This document describes the TCL Two-door Household Refrigerator, model P650SBN1, a fan-cooled and frost-free appliance designed for household use.
Function Description:
The refrigerator is a two-door household appliance with separate refrigerating and freezing chambers. It features intelligent temperature control managed by a computer system, offering visual operation for user convenience. The fan-cooled and frost-free system ensures efficient and safe operation, preventing ice buildup and maintaining consistent temperatures. The appliance uses CFC-free materials and R600a refrigerant, making it environmentally friendly, with 80% of its main materials being recyclable. It also incorporates a unique air generation system that swings left and right to ensure uniform cooling throughout the compartments.
The refrigerating chamber (2°C~8°C) is primarily used for storing short-term foods like milk, eggs, and bottled drinks. Vegetables and melons should be placed in the fruit and vegetable box to prevent water loss. Cooked foods should be put into the refrigerator after packaging with preservative bags to prevent frosting and maximize power efficiency. The freezing chamber (-22°C~-15°C) is designed for long-term food storage, such as meat and fish. It is recommended to cut large pieces of meat into smaller portions before freezing to facilitate later use. Quick-freezing foods should be distributed uniformly. Bottled drinks and other sundries can be stored in the bottle pedestals on the refrigerating door.
The refrigerator includes various operational modes:
- Manual Temperature Adjustment: Users can adjust the temperature of both the refrigerating and freezer compartments. For the refrigerating chamber, the temperature can be set between 2°C and 8°C. For the freezer compartment, it can be set between -15°C and -22°C. This is done by pressing the "Zone" key to select the compartment and then adjusting the temperature in 1°C increments.
- Quick Refrigerating Function: This function rapidly cools the refrigerating compartment. It can be activated by repeatedly pressing the "Function" key until the "Power Cool" icon flashes. The function automatically sets the refrigerating compartment to 2°C and will automatically exit after two hours or if the refrigerator door is opened for more than three minutes.
- Quick Freezing Function: This function rapidly freezes items in the freezer compartment. It is activated by pressing the "Function" key until the "Power Freeze" icon flashes. This function automatically sets the freezer compartment to -24°C and will automatically exit after four hours or if the freezer door is opened for more than three minutes.
- Intelligent Status: In intelligent status, the refrigerator automatically monitors the status of all compartments and runs efficiently. It can automatically enter quick-refrigerating or quick-freezing functions according to the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
- Child Lock Function: This function prevents unintended changes to settings. It is activated by long-pressing the "Smart" key for 3 seconds.
- Refrigerating Close Function: This function allows users to turn off the refrigerating compartment while keeping the freezer running. It is activated by pressing the "Smart" key for 3 seconds until the temperature icon switches to the refrigerator compartment, then pressing "Zone" to adjust the temperature to "OF".
- Power-off Memory: In case of a power cut, the refrigerator's instantaneous working state is backed up, and it will resume the state after power on.
- Door Alarm: If the refrigerator or freezer door is not well closed or open for over 1 minute, a buzzer will sound, and the siren will sound "beep, beep, beep" again after 1 minute.
- Freezer Compartment Temperature Reminder: If the temperature of the freezer compartment is higher than -12°C, the corresponding temperature area will flash.

Usage Features:
- Placement: The refrigerator should be placed on a flat, firm surface in a dry, well-ventilated environment, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Sufficient clearance (at least 30cm above and 10cm on sides/back) is required for proper heat dissipation. The foam base should be removed for better bottom heat dissipation and fire prevention.
- Initial Setup: After unpacking, remove all packing materials, especially the foam base. Clean the interior and exterior with a warm, wet cloth (neutral detergent can be added). After leveling and cleaning, allow the refrigerator to stand for about 2 hours before plugging it in. Let it cool for 2 to 3 hours before storing food. In hot summer, 24 hours are needed for food to fully freeze.
- Food Storage: Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers to prevent contact or dripping onto other foods. Effervescent drinks should not be stored in freezer compartments. Water ices should not be consumed too cold. Adhere to recommended storage times by food manufacturers.
- Ice-making: Fill the ice-making box with 4/5 water and place it into the freezing chamber. Once frozen, twist the box slightly to separate the ice. Do not bend the box forcefully.
- Accessories: The glass shelves in the refrigerating chamber are height-adjustable. The fruit and vegetable box and freezer drawers can be pulled out for access. Bottle pedestals on the refrigerating door can be lifted up slightly for removal.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Cleaning: It is suggested to maintain the refrigerator once per month. Unplug the power plug before cleaning to prevent electric shock. Use a wet cloth or neutral detergent to wipe off oil contamination and dirt, then completely wipe off the detergent. Avoid alkaline detergent, soap powder, gasoline, alcohol, or talcum powder, as these can damage coatings or plastics. Regularly clean the refrigerator body and clear ground dusts.
- Power Cord and Plug Inspection: After maintenance, check for damages to the power line and plug, dusts on the power plug, abnormal heat on the plug, loose socket, and ensure the plug is fully inserted. If the power line or plug is damaged or dusty, electric shock or fire may occur.
- Power Re-plugging: After unplugging the plug, wait at least 5 minutes before re-plugging it.
- Handling: When handling the refrigerator, at least two persons are required. When moving, fix internal accessories with adhesive tape to prevent damage.
- Extended Non-running: If the appliance is left empty for long periods, switch it off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mold development.
- Defrosting Frozen Food: Take precautions to prevent an undue rise in the temperature of frozen food while defrosting, such as wrapping it in several layers of newspaper. A rise in temperature during manual defrosting or cleaning can shorten storage life.
- Power Interruption: Be aware of the care required for frozen food in storage during extended power outages or system failures.
