10. TROUBLE SHOOTING
About 50% of the units that are returned for repair do not
function properly due to poor connections, dirty heads, poor
tape, or improper operation.
The following guide lists specific difficulties that could
occur in the A-3300/3340
Several possible causes are listed for each malfunction.
Visually inspect the unit for any damage such as broken or
burned components or wiring, loose connections, etc.

CORRECTIVE PROCEDURE
Refer to schematic diagram
and repair or replace the
defective components.
The normal DC resistance of
the capstan solenoid is 1.3k
ohms.
