4 MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS AND CHECKS

4-1 PINCH ROLLER PRESSURE

Press the cassette switch (see Fig.3-1) up to set
the deck to the playback mode.
The cassette switch should be pressed up to through-
out weasurenent. .
. tang the spring scale from the pinch roller arn.
. Extend the spring in the direction shown in. the
figure until the rotation of. the pinch roller. stops,
then return it gradually so that the pinch roller
comes into contact with the.capstan shaft again.
. Read the value at the moment the pinch rolter starts
Potating.
