1 Product description
1.1 Functionality

Automotive ethernet though similar in functionality has some differences in
comparison to standard ethernet. To interact between the two technologies, a
converter is needed. The Technica Engineering 100/1000BASE-T1 MediaConverter
MATEnet is a physical layer converter providing conversion between100/1000BASE-
T1 and 100 BASE-TX or 1000BASE-T with a constant delay of about 2 µs.
