1. Test equipment connection is shown in fig. 19.

. Place UNIT into record mode, and equalizer selector to 1204S, bias
selector to LOW (for normal tape).
. Supply 1kHz signal (—24dB) from AF oscillator, through ATT, to
LINE IN.
. Adjust ATT until monitor level at LINE OUT becomes 0.42 V (—7 dB).
. Using test tape (C-RA), make recording.
. Playback recorded tape, and make sure the value at LINE OUT on
VTVM becomes 0.42 V.
. If measured value is not 0.42V, adjust VR15 (L-CH), VR16 (R-CH)
(See fig. 28 on page 14).
. Repeat from step (2).
When there is no signal
1. Turn off the power supply to the set.
2. Check whether the indication needles of the level meters are in the
position shown in fig. 20.
3. If they deviate to the position shown above, adjust the zero adjuster.
4. Turn on the power supply to the set.
