1. Before sound can be heard, both surround speakers must be
connected.
2. Do not connect the surround speakers to the front speaker ter-
minals, The surround speakers may be damaged if connected to
the front terminals due to the output power difference between
the front and surround terminais.

You can amplity bass sounds by connecting a subwoofer to your
receiver.
When connected, the subwoofer can be placed in any position.
This receiver has no amplifier section designed especially for the
subwoofer, so you cannot adjust the subwoofer volume lievel by the
receiver,
