clarification
of
the
terms
used.
Before operation
Turn on the unit you are recording from and prepare it for play.
1 Insert the MD for recording.
The unit comes on automatically, the message “TOC
Reading” flashes on the display and then any information
about the disc is shown.
2 Press [INPUT SELECTOR].
The current input mode is displayed.
3 Within 3 seconds
Press [INPUT SELECTOR] to change
the mode.
Each time you press the button:
DIGITAL 1 — DIGITAL 2 + ANALOG

DIGITAL 1: When using OPTICAL DIGITAL IN 1
DIGITAL 2: When using OPTICAL DIGITAL IN 2
ANALOG: When using ANALOG REC (IN)
Change the track marking mode before proceeding to step 4
if applicable (™ page 9).
4 Press [@ REC].
The unit goes to recording standby.
if you selected ANALOG in step 3:
Adjust the recording level. (= page 9 for details.)
5 Press [> ] to start recording and start
playing the sound source.
To stop recording
Press [i].
Recording has finished when the message “UTOC Writing” disap-
pears from the display.
To pause recording
Press [40].
A track mark is added if the marking mode has been set to AUTO.
Press again to resume recording.
To eject the MD
Press [4 EJECT}.
To turn the unit off
Press [C/I].
Reference
The input source cannot be changed while recording.
