Simple
method,
using
stereo
amplifier
Connect
the
terminal
marked
‘‘VERT”’
(of
this
unit)
with
the
terminal
marked
‘‘AUX”’
(of
the
amplifier).

Tune
to
the
desired
FM
broadcast,
and,
referring
to
the
signal-strength
meter©®
and
the
FM_
center-tuning
meter®,
make
the
tuning
as
perfect
as
possible.
@
Adjust
the
stereo
amplifier,
and
increase
the
volume
level
so
that
the
sound
signal
can
be
heard.

Turning
the
antenna
around
horizontally,
and
moving
it
up
and
down,
determine
the
position
in
which
the
sound
signal
is
best,
and
secure
the
antenna
in
that
position.
This, then,
will
be
the
position
at
which
multi-path
dis-
tortion
is
minimized.

distortion,

pattern

seen
on
the
oscilloscope.
If
such
a
pattern
is
seen,
turn
the
antenna
around
horizontally
and
move
it
up
and
down
until
a
pattern
such
as
shown
in
figure
A
appears.
When
this
position
is
determined,
secure
the
antenna
in
that
position.
The
pattern
shown
in
figure
A
is
that
received
at
the
optimum
antenna
position,
at
which
there
is
no
multi-
path
distortion.

This
is
a
signal
output
terminal
for
the
discrete
four-channel
FM
broadcasts
which
are
expected
in
the
future.
To
enjoy
discrete
four-channel
FM
broadcasts,
one
more
pair
of
speakers,
a
pre-main
amplifier
and
a
decoder
for
discrete
four-channel
broadcasts
are
necessary,
in
addition
to
the
ordinary
stereo
system.

dirty,
it
can
be
cleaned
by
wiping
it
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.
If
it

extremely
dirty,
dip
the
soft
cloth
into
a
soap-and-water
solution,
wring
the
cloth
out
well
and
then
wipe
the
unit
clean.
After
cleaning,
wipe
the
unit
dry
once
more
with
a
dry
cloth.

allow
alcohol,
thinner,
benzine,

secticide

other
similar
chemicals
to
get
on
the
surface
of

unit
because
they
may
damage
its
finish
by
causing
the
finish
to
peel
off
or
lose
its
luster.
