Seiect the cariridge-type when listening to
phono discs.
MM ( «> @):Set to this position when using a movingmagnet
type cartridge or high-output movingcoil cartridge
(1 mV or more).
MC ( a- «): Set to this position when using a moving-coil type
cartridge.
Select the stereo or monaural operation.
stereo( «— &):Set to this position to listen in stereo.
mono( g-— «):Set to this position to listen monaurally.
The left and right sounds will be mixed, and the
same sounds will be heard from both speakers.
When listening to music at a low volume level,
press inward the loudness switch to the “on”
position for compensation of the bass range.
tone control
Press the tone control switch to the “on” posi-
tion if you want to adjust the bass or treble
tone quality.
If set to the “defeat” position, tone controls have no effect, and
frequency response becomes flat.
Adjust the balance for the left/right volume.
Adjust the high-frequency sound to the desired
tone quality.
Adjust the low-frequency sound to the desired
tone quality.

e Reduce the volume level before connecting headphones.
e |f the sound from the speakers is not wanted, set the speaker
selectors to the “off” position.
Avoid listening for a long time at a volume level so high that it
irritates the ears.
