The Line input may be used to connect sound sources with
a Line or Headphone analogue output to play through your
unit. These may include -
iPod models that cannot be docked to the unit•
MP3 players•
CD walkman players•
Tape walkman players•
Personal computers or laptops•
Connecting to the LINE IN jack
Connect a stereo 3.5mm jack cable (not supplied) between •
the headphone or LINE/AUX output of the personal audio
player and the LINE IN jack on the side panel.
Playing the LINE IN source
Press the • FUNCTION button repeatedly to select AUX
mode.
AUX MODE will be displayed.
Set your personal audio player/computer to PLAY.•
Set the listening volume to the level you want with the •
volume controls on the radio or remote control.
If there is no sound or if the volume level is not loud enough,
you may need to increase the volume setting on your personal
audio player/computer.
LINE INPUT TIMER AND SLEEP TIMER OPERATION
The system includes a timer to switch it on and o at preset
times. The timer is set when in Standby.
To set the timer:
Set the unit to Standby mode.•
Press and • hold the TIMER button.
The display will indicate ‘
ONand the hours digits will ash
(AM or PM will also be displayed if the clock is set to 12 hour
mode).
Press the • } or { button to set the hours digits to the
correct number for the timer to switch on.
Press the • TIMER button to conrm this setting.
The minutes digits on the display will now ash.
Press the • } or { button to set the minutes digits to the
correct number for the timer to switch on.
Press the • TIMER button to conrm this setting.
TUNER will now appear on the display. This is the source that
will play when the timer functions.
Press the • } or { button if you want to select a dierent
source for timer operation.
Press the • TIMER button to conrm this setting.
VOL will now appear on the display with the volume level. This
is the volume level that will be set when the timer functions.
Press the • } or { button if you want to select a dierent
volume setting.
Press the • TIMER button to conrm this setting.
All timer settings will now be reviewed on the display •
and the timer will set.
To switch the timer on or o:
Press the • TIMER button briey.
The •
symbol will show on the display when the timer is
active. As the timer switches on, the current timer settings
will be reviewed on the display.
SLEEP TIMER
You can set the Sleep timer to play music for a set period
while you are falling asleep.
To set the sleep timer:
Play your choice of music.•
Press the • SLEEP button on the remote control repeatedly
to step down from a the sleep time of 90 minutes in 10
minute intervals. The minimum sleep time you can set is
10 minutes. Pressing the SLEEP button one more time
will cancel the sleep timer.
The sleep symbol
will appear on the display and the music
will continue to play for the time you selected. When the sleep
time expires, the unit will set to Standby.
To check the sleep time remaining:
Press the • SLEEP button while sleep is set.
The sleep time remaining will be displayed.•
