This funcon can be set from PC
Scan Resume Mode (SC-REV) - Menu N°18
Thanks to this funcon, Tech Side TS-T9+ is able to scan in frequency or channel
mode.
Select the preferred mode according to your needs.
TO - Time-operated Scan
Scanning stops when the radio receives a signal on a busy channel and will resume
aer about 5 seconds, regardless of whether the signal persists.
CO: Carrier-operated Scan
Scanning stops on a busy channel unl the signal is detected and will resume once
the radio no longer detects any signal.
SE: Search Scan
The radio stops on a busy channel and stops scanning.
Transmission of the PTT-ID idener (PTT-ID) Menu N°19
Thanks to this funcon it is possible to choose when to send the ANI-ID code in
transmission. You can choose between 4 possibilies, listed below.
OFF: Press PTT to turn it o
BOT: the code is sent when the PTT is pressed
EOT: the code is sent when the PTT is released
BOTH: the code is sent when the PTT is pressed and released
Note: when you do not intend to use this funcon, select ‘OFF’ so as not to aect
the operaon of the radio.
PTT send delay ID (PTT-LT) - Menu N ° 20
In this menu you can set the delay (0-30ms) in which the radio sends the PTTID
when the PTT is released.
Upper channel / frequency display mode (MDF-A) Menu No. 21
In this menu you can set the channel/frequency display mode on the top line (A) of
the display.
Display mode:
FREQ .: Frequency + channel number
CH: Channel number
NAME: Channel name
Note: the channel name mode must be set by the programming soware; you
can type up to a maximum of 3 characters.
Lower channel / frequency display mode (MDF-B) Menu No. 22
In this menu you can set the channel / frequency display mode on the boom line
(B) of the display.
Display mode:
FREQ .: Frequency + channel number
CH: Channel number
NAME: Channel name
Note: the channel name mode must be set by the programming soware; you
can type up to a maximum of 3 characters.
Busy channel block (BCL) - Menu N°23
This funcon allows you to block interference from other radios: if you select a busy
channel, pressing the PTT buon has no eect and the radio does not transmit.It
will broadcast again when the channel is free.
Keyboard lock (AUTOLK) - Menu N°24
This funcon avoids accidental key presses. When acvated, the keyboard locks
automacally aer 15s.
Frequency deviaon (SFT-D) - Menu N°25
With this funcon you set the direcon of the radio frequency oset.
This funcon is used in the use of the radio on repeater bridges.
You can choose from these opons:
+: posive oset
-: negave oset
o: no oset
Note: Depending on the repeater bridges, a dierent frequency deviaon must
be set. In channel mode this funcon cannot be changed.
Frequency oset (OFFSET) - Menu N°26
In this menu you set the frequency oset between tx and rx.
In the TS-T9+ the oset is 0-69.990MHz.
This feature is useful for communicaon with repeater bridges.
Channel memory - (MEM-CH) - Menu N°27
In standby or frequency mode, frequencies and parameters can be stored.
To set a CTCSS tone or a DCS code in tx or rx on the stored channel,
(paragraphs 10-13). Instrucons for memorizing channel:
- Posion yourself on the frequency to memorize
[MENU] - [27] - [MENU] - (nd free memory with / ) - [MENU] - [EXIT]
Note: a stored channel cannot be overwrien, it must rst be deleted. See follow-
ing paragraph Menu N°28.
Deleng a channel (DEL-CH) - Menu N°28
[MENU] - [28] - [MENU] - (Search for the channel to be deleted with the arrows /
) - [MENU] - [EXIT]
Backlight (WT-LED) - Menu N°29
This funcon allows you to decide the lighng on / o
Recepon backlight (RX-LED) Menu N°30
This funcon allows you to decide the lighng on / o
TX backlight (TX-LED) - Menu N°31
This funcon allows you to decide the lighng on / o
Alarm mode (AL-MOD) - Menu N°32
Thanks to this funcon you can set some types of alarm: tone alarm, code alarm
and site alarm.
To send an alarm tone, keep the CALL key pressed for 3 seconds.
SITE ALARM: TS-T9+ emits an alarm tone but the radio does not transmit it;
TONE ALARM: TS-T9+ emits an alarm tone and the radio transmits it;
CODE ALARM: TS-T9+ emits an alarm tone and the radio transmits the ANI-ID code.
Frequency band Shi (BAND) - Menu N°33
In frequency mode, press the BAND buon to select the desired frequency band.
VHF: 144 - 146MHz / UHF: 430 - 440MHz
Dual Watch (TDR-AB) - Menu N°34
When the Dual Watch is acvated (See Menu N° 7), signals can be received on the A
/ B channels or on the frequency.
