8.2 Cleaning the welding machine
CAUTION
Do not clean the welding machine with
sprayed water as this could penetrate
inside it; also avoid using strong solvents,
thinners or petrol, which can damage the
paint and plastic parts on the machine.
8.3 Cleaning the electrodes
DANGER
Before performing any operation,
disconnect the air supply from the gun.
The electrodes can be cleaned with a fine-grained
abrasive tool.
Replace the electrodes if they are excessively worn.
8.4 Replacing the electrodes
(See attached image A5)
DANGER
Before performing any operation,
disconnect the air supply from the gun.
To replace the electrodes, follow the instructions given
below:
• Disconnect the compressed air supply hose (1).
• Activate the "NO WELD" function from the operator
panel; this stops the coolant from circulating;
• Remove and replace the electrodes (2), taking care
not to damage the cone on the electrode holder (3).
WARNING
The electrode can be extracted with the
special extractor supplied.
To facilitate the extraction of the electrode
and prevent seizure of the cone, high
conductivity grease can be used, like that
provided in the supply.
Do not use sealants to eliminate water
leaks from the tapered socket on the
electrodes.
• Disconnect the compressed air supply hose (1).
• Lightly press the trigger (4) to close the electrodes
until they lock into position;
• Activate the "NO WELD" function from the operator
panel; this stops the coolant from circulating;
• After replacing the electrodes, the calibration
procedure must be performed from the operator
panel.
WARNING
For more information, consult the
operator panel manual supplied as a an
attachment.
