End of cooking
To release the steam
■ Once the heat has been turned off, you have two
options:
■■ Slow release of pressure: turn the pressure
selector gradually to .
Caution: jet of steam.
■■ Fast pressure release: place the X'press Cooker
under a running cold tap.
■ When the pressure indicator goes down, your
X'press Cooker is no longer under pressure.
■ Set the pressure selector to .
■ You can then open the X'press Cooker.
To move the X'press Cooker, use the pan
handles only.
If you cannot open the X'press Cooker:
■ Check that:
The pressure selector is in position .
The pressure indicator is at its lowest setting.
■ If not, place the X'press Cooker under the cold
tap to release the pressure.
If food is under-cooked or burnt, check:
■ Cooking time.
■ Heat setting.
■ Correct positioning of pressure selector.
■ Quantity of liquid.
