• Always dry the base of the pan before cook-
ing, especially if you use it on a ceramic or
halogen stove, otherwise the pan may stick
to the stove.
• Center your pan over the heat source (this
prevents damage to the handle and exterior
coating).
• If using sugar or course salt, wait for it to dis-
solve before stirring in the pan (if not, the
grains may scratch the surface).
• After prolonged usage some minor discol-
oration of the non-stick coating may occur.
This is quite normal and will not affect the
non-stick properties of your cookware.
Safety features
If the lid is incorrectly positioned the safety system does not allow cooking to start.
Refit the lid.
Care and cleaning
To clean the pan
• Turn off the appliance by pressing the
ON/Off switch (6), the light goes out - Fig 13.
• Unplug the appliance - Fig 14.
• Leave the pan to cool completely before
cleaning.
• After each use, wash the pan with a sponge
in warm water and dish soap. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
• Alternatively, clean in a dishwasher but take
care that the pan does not obstruct the ro-
tating dishwasher blades - Fig 15. Do not
leave your pan in the dishwasher after the
cycle has finished. To maintain the perform-
ance of the non-stick coating, repeat the
‘conditioning’ after dishwashing is recom-
mend (see “Before First Use”).
• If you accidentally burn food in the pan fill
it with warm water and dish soap and leave
to soak for about an hour. Afterwards wash
as normal and use a non-abrasive sponge (a
non-stick scouring sponge) if necessary. The
non-stick coating should then be recondi-
tioned with a little cooking oil wiped over the
surface with a paper kitchen towel to restore
its non-stick properties.
Never use metal scouring pads, abrasive
wire wool or harsh scouring powder to
clean the pan or any part of the appliance
as they may damage it.
Never use bleach or any products contain-
ing chlorine to clean any part of the appli-
ance.
Never put cold water into a hot pan or
plunge a hot pan in cold water. Sudden
changes of temperature may cause metal
to warp, resulting in an uneven base.
Do not place a hot pan on a surface which
will be damaged by heat.
If the pan is cleaned in a dishwasher, the
outer coating may become dulled and dis-
colored due to the action of certain deter-
gents. Our guarantee does not cover this
type of wear, however the performance of
the pan will not be affected.
