  • Power Cord: Retractable into a storage space (item 6).
  • Steam Cord: Stored in a dedicated space (item 4).

Usage Features

1. Preparation:

  • Water Usage: Designed to function with untreated tap water. For very hard water, a 50/50 mix of untreated tap water and distilled water is recommended. Avoid using water from clothes dryers, scented or softened water, refrigerators, batteries, air conditioners, rainwater, boiled, filtered, or bottled water, as these can cause spitting, brown staining, or premature wear. Do not use rainwater or water containing additives like starch or fragrance.
  • Filling the Water Tank: Unplug the appliance, remove the detachable water tank (item 3) using its handle, fill with tap water up to the MAX level, and push it back until it clicks.
  • Switching On: Place the steam generator on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure the base unit is close to the ironing surface. Unwind the power cord and take the steam cord out of its storage. Plug into an earthed socket. Press the "ON-OFF" button (a). The "ON-OFF" light will flash during warm-up. The "NORMAL" button light will also flash.
  • First Use: Some fumes and smell may occur during the first use, which is normal and will disappear rapidly.

2. Operating the Control Panel:

  • Warm-up: The selected fabric setting light (ECO, DELICATE, NORMAL, MAX) flashes during warm-up.
  • Water Tank Empty: If the red "Water tank empty" light (b) flashes, the tank is empty. Refill the tank and press the "OK" button to turn off the light.
  • Anti-Calc Maintenance: If the orange "Anti-calc" light (c) flashes, maintenance is required (see Maintenance and Cleaning section).
  • Ready for Use: The steam generator is ready when the light of the selected button (ECO, DELICATE, NORMAL, MAX) remains lit (after approximately 2 minutes).

3. Electronic Settings (5 Optimal Temperature and Steam Flow Combinations):

  • Fabric Selection: ECO, DELICATE, NORMAL, and MAX buttons control temperature and steam combinations suitable for different fabrics. These can be selected at any time.
  • Ironing Order: Start with fabrics requiring low temperatures and finish with those needing higher temperatures.
  • Temperature Adjustment: If reducing the temperature, wait until the blue iron light stops flashing before continuing to iron.
  • Woollen Garments: For wool, press the steam shot button repeatedly without placing the iron on the garment to avoid shininess.
  • Fabrics to Avoid: Fabrics with the symbol (crossed-out iron) are not suitable for ironing.

4. Steam Ironing:

  • Ironing Board: Use a mesh-type ironing board to allow steam to pass through garments for better results and prevent sideways venting.
  • Steam Control: Press the steam control button under the iron handle (item 1) to obtain steam. Releasing the button stops the steam.
  • Pump Noise: The electric pump injects water into the boiler, making a normal noise.
  • Starch: If using starch, spray it onto the reverse side of the fabric.
  • Safety Precautions: Do not iron over zips, studs, or sharp objects that may damage the soleplate. Do not place the iron on a metal support. Always place the iron on the iron rest plate of the unit when taking a break.
  • Cold Water Removal: If the steam function has not been used for a few minutes, press the steam control button several times in a row, holding the iron away from laundry, to remove cold water from the steam circuit.

5. Dry Ironing:

  • Do not press the steam control button under the iron handle.

6. Vertical Steam Ironing:

  • Technique: Hang the garment on a coat hanger and hold it slightly taut.
  • Safety: Steam is very hot; never attempt to remove creases from a garment while it is being worn. Always hang garments on a coat hanger.
  • Application: Hold the iron in a vertical position, tilted slightly forwards, and press repeatedly on the steam control button, moving the iron from top to bottom.
  • Fabric Distance: For fabrics other than linen or cotton, hold the iron a few centimeters from the garment to avoid burning.

7. Steam Boost Function:

  • Purpose: Provides automatic sequential steam for effortless use, especially for thick fabrics.
  • Activation: Press the steam control button under the handle three times in quick succession.

8. Refilling the Tank During Use:

  • When the red "Tank empty" light flashes, remove the detachable water tank, fill it without exceeding the MAX level, push it back until it clicks, and press the "OK" button on the control panel until the light goes out.

9. Auto-Off System:

  • Standby: After approximately 8 minutes of non-use, the system activates standby, indicated by the flashing blue "ON-OFF" light. Press "ON-OFF" or the steam shot button to reactivate.
  • Complete Shut-off: After approximately 30 minutes of non-use, the system switches off the steam generator completely. Press "ON-OFF" to restart.

10. Storing the Steam Generator:

  • Place the iron on the steam generator iron rest.
  • Switch off the appliance by pressing the "ON-OFF" button and unplug it.
  • Raise the locking system (item 2) over the iron until it clicks into place.
  • Store the steam cord in its slide storage place: fold it in two to make a loop, insert the end into the sliding storage, and push gently until the end appears on the other side.
  • Press the power cord storage button (item 6) to store the power cord.
  • Allow the steam generator to cool for about 1 hour before storing it in a cupboard or confined space.
  • If storing in a cold place (<10°C), place it in a warm place before starting ironing again.
  • Carry the steam generator safely by the iron handle.

Maintenance Features

1. Cleaning Your Steam Generator:

  • Durilium Airglide Autoclean Soleplate: The exclusive active coating helps eliminate impurities. For traces from unsuitable programs, clean the soleplate with a soft damp cloth while it is still warm.
  • Cleaning Precautions:
