TEFAL reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components of its products
at any time, in the interests of consumers.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
The appliance works once plugged into the wall socket.
Allow the appliance to pre-heat for about 15 minutes.
Never plug the appliance in when not in use.
Do not leave the appliance switched on while unattended.
You may notice a slight smell and some smoke on first use, this is normal.

After pre-heating, the appliance is ready to be used :
Each guest can place a slice of cheese on the cooking plate, in one of the
six imprints designed for the cheese. Once the cheese is melted, each one
moves his plate closer to the cooking plate and using the spatula, slides
the cheese onto it.
During first use :
• Pour a little oil on the plates. Wipe off with an
absorbant kitchen towel.
• You may notice a slight smell and some smoke
on first use, this is normal.
To keep the benefits of the grill plate's non-stick coating, always use a non-
stick plastic or wooden spatula.
Cooking
Unplug the cord from the wall socket. Leave the appliance to cool.
Clean the cooking plate, the tray and the base of the appliance with a
sponge, hot water and washing up liquid.
Do not put the electrical base and the tray in the dishwasher.
The cooking plate can be put in the dishwasher.
Do not use scouring pads or hard abrasive powder.
Never immerse the appliance and the cord in water.
