Signal Path Compensation
Signal Path Compensation (SPC) corre cts for DC inaccuracies caused by temperature variations and/or long-term drift. You should
run the SPC whenever the ambient temperature has changed by more than 10 °C or once a week if you use vertical settings
of 5 mV per division or less. Failure to do so may result in the oscilloscope not meeting warranted performance levels at those
volts per division settings.
To compensate the signal path:
1. Warm up the oscilloscope f or at least
20 minute s. Remove all input signals (probes
and cables) from channel inputs. In put signals
with AC components adversely affect SPC.
