Display Waveform Data
11. Select Deskew to make display and
measurement adjustments for probe s that
have differing propagation delays. This is
especially important when using a current
probe in conjunction with a voltage probe.
For best results, use a deskew fixture, such as
the Tektronix 067-1686-xx.
If you do not have a deskew fixture, you
canusethecontrolsintheDeskewmenuto
set the oscilloscope’s deskew parameters
to recommended values, based on the
nominal propagation delay of each probe.
The oscilloscope automatically loads the
nominal propagation delay values of TekVPI
and TekProbe II (requires use o f a TPA-BNC
adaptor) probes. For oth er common probes,
first push the side-bezel Select button, and
select the channel to which the probe is
attached. Then push the side-b ezel Probe
Model button, and select the probe model. If
your probe is not in the list, set probe model to
Other, and push the side-b ezel Propa gation
Delay button and dial in its propagation delay
with multipurpose knob a.
