We can use the ZERO feature on a TI-83 to determine the x-intercepts of the graph of the
equation. Again, go to the CALC menu, but this time select option 2: ZERO.
The calculator asks for a LEFT BOUND - this is a value of x to the left of the x-intercept.
To establish the left bound use the left and right arrows to move the cursor until it is left
of the x-intercept you wish to approximate, then press ENTER.
