Why is my Thermo Scientific Refrigerator running constantly?
- MMs. Stephanie Bridges MDAug 9, 2025
Your Thermo Scientific Refrigerator might run continuously due to several reasons. First, heavy frost accumulation could be the cause, in which case you should defrost the unit. Also, check for dust or lint on the condenser and clean it with a dry brush or vacuum if needed. A leak around the door gasket could also be the culprit; try re-seating it or replacing it if it's worn. Ensure that the temperature isn't set too cold and that the ambient air isn't over 43ºC (109ºF), or that the unit isn't near heat sources; if so, relocate it if possible. High frequency of door openings and closings can also cause this issue; decreasing these should stabilize the unit.
