What to do if there is a flare-up on my Thermos C45G?
    • M
      marisa86Aug 15, 2025
Flare-ups on your Thermos Grill can be caused by grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. To resolve this, clean the burners and inside of the grill/firebox. Trim fat from meat before grilling. Adjust (lower) the temperature accordingly.

What to do if my Thermos C45G has a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame?
    • C
      Courtney HerreraAug 18, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Thermos Grill can occur due to several reasons: you might be out of gas, the excess flow valve might have tripped, or there could be a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. First, check for gas in the LP cylinder. If that's not the issue, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. If flames are still low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, and perform a leak test. Then, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. Alternatively, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

What to do if my Thermos C45G has a persistent grease fire?
    • J
      Justin FernandezAug 21, 2025
If you experience a persistent grease fire in your Thermos Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To handle this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and let the fire burn out. After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.

Why are the flames blowing out on my Thermos C45G Grill?
    • S
      sgardnerAug 26, 2025
Flames blowing out on your Thermos Grill can be caused by high or gusting winds, or low LP gas. To fix this, turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. If that doesn't work, refill the LP cylinder. You can also refer to the section addressing sudden drops in gas flow.

    • J
      Joseph WallAug 28, 2025
A flashback, or fire in the burner tubes, of your Thermos Grill can be caused by blocked burner and/or burner tubes. To resolve this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. Refer to the burner cleaning section in the Use and Care guide for detailed instructions.

How to fix a Thermos C45G when one burner does not light from other burners?
    • W
      William HillAug 31, 2025
If one burner on your Thermos Grill does not light from the other burners, it could be due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). Clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush to resolve this issue.

Why is my Thermos C45G Grill timer not working (Green light does not flash)?
    • D
      Derek JohnsonSep 4, 2025
If the timer on your Thermos Grill isn't working and the green light doesn't flash, it could be due to a dead battery, incorrectly installed batteries, or the knob position not starting the Clean Cycle. Try replacing the batteries, ensure they are installed correctly, and push the knob in to start the clean cycle (the green LED should begin to flash).

Why am I unable to fill my Thermos Grill LP cylinder?
    • J
      Jerry SimonSep 12, 2025
If you are unable to fill your Thermos Grill LP cylinder, it might be because some dealers have older fill nozzles with worn threads. Try a second LP dealer to see if they can fill it.
