Usage Features:
- Remote Control: The included voice remote control features numeric buttons, subtitles control, info display, colored buttons for app functions, profile switch, microphone for Google Assistant, settings menu access, directional pad for navigation, back/return, home screen access, common application buttons, volume control, program +/- for channel zapping, mute, and dedicated buttons for YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+. The remote control can also be paired to control power on/off, volume, or input selection of connected devices like TVs, AV receivers, or soundbars.
- First Installation: Requires pairing the remote control, selecting language and region, and following on-screen instructions. Setup can be done via the Google Home application on a mobile device or manually on the TV. A Google account is necessary to access Google Play Store, Hey Google, and streaming applications.

- Automatic: Allows installed applications to automatically adjust the HDR format to the display device, optimizing video content but not necessarily at the highest quality.
- Manual: Enables manual deactivation of HDR formats that may cause playback problems or are unsupported by the display device.
- Sound Format Settings:
- Automatic: Detects the best sound format supported by the connected device (via HDMI or Digital Audio Optical Toslink) and adjusts playback characteristics accordingly. Recommended setting.
- None: Disables surround sound playback, recommended for converting digital audio to analogue audio using a DAC or if the connected device does not support digital sound playback.
- Manual: Allows selective enabling or disabling of each supported format, independent of the audio output device.
- USB Playback: Connect external USB drives (flash drives or hard drives) to the USB-A ports. Press the HOME button to access options for playing multimedia content or expanding internal storage capacity.
- IPTV Functionality: The Streaming Box can be used as an IPTV box by downloading a preferred IPTV application.
Maintenance Features:
- Software Updates: The Thomson Streaming Box 240G receives automatic software updates. Notifications for available updates for installed apps or the operating system will appear on the Home Screen.
