NORMAL PROCEDURES
AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL
AFTER CLEARING THE RUNWAY:
1. Wing Flaps – RETRACT.
2. Fuel Aux. – OFF.
3. Ignition Switch – OFF.
4. Fuel Lever – LOW IDLE / GROUND IDLE.
ENGINE SHUTDOWN:
1. Parking Brake – SET.
2. Power Lever – IDLE.
NOTE
Allow the engine to stabilize for a minimum of
one minute below 650 degrees ITT maximum.
3. Propeller Lever – FEATHERED.
4. Fuel Condition Lever – CUT OFF.
5. P-3 Heater Switch – OFF (If Installed).
6. Battery Switch – OFF.
7. Generator Switch – OFF
NOTE
During the shutdown, be sure that the
compressor decelerates freely.
If there is any evidence of a fire within the
engine after shutdown, proceed immediately
as described under “Dry Motoring Run.”
WARNING
SECURING THE AIRCRAFT:
1. Parking Brake – RELEASE and INSTALL the wheel chocks.
2. Control Stick Lock – ENGAGE.
3. Aileron and Rudder gust locks- INSTALLED AND SECURE.
4. While the aircraft is unattended, be sure that the propeller is tied down to prevent
windmilling with zero oil pressure.
