Final operations
Before inserting the plug-in module of the relay SSG onto its
own counterbase, or anyway before energizing the electric board,
it is advisable to check that:
- the auxiliary voltage in the panel falls within the operative
range of relay SSG,
- the rated current (1A or 5A) of the line CT’s corresponds to
that of relay SSG,
- the right polarity of TA and TV, essential for correct operatin
of directional functions,
- each protection relay is inserted onto the matching fixed
counterbase.
Wrong insertion of the series S relays is however inhibited since
each relay type has a different code key that does not allow
insertion onto a counterbase matching a different type. After
inserting the plug-in module onto the counterbase, the four
locking screws, accessible though the front handles, must be
tightly screwed, though not excessively. Finally the transparent
protection cover can be fitted with snap-in mounting.
To remove the front cover, lever so as to turn slightly upwards
the part of the cover resting on the upper handle of the relay; this
can be achieved more easily by inserting the blade of a screwdriver
in the slot corresponding to the upper handle.
The front cover can be sealed to prevent unauthorized people
from tampering with the settings or activating the test cycle through
the TEST button. Besides, it is impossible to unscrew the fastening
screws and extract the protection relay from its counterbase if the
front cover hasn’t been previously removed.
Operazioni finali
Prima di inserire la parte estraibile del relè SSG nella relativa
controbase, o comunque prima di mettere in tensione il quadro
elettrico, è opportuno controllare che:
- la tensione ausiliaria presente nel quadro rientri nel campo
di lavoro del relè SSG,
- la corrente nominale (1A o 5A) dei TA di linea corrisponda
con quella del relè SSG,
- la corretta polarità dei TA e TV indispensabile per il corretto
funzionamento delle funzioni direzionali,
- ogni relè di protezione sia inserito sulla controbase fissa ad
esso corrispondente.
Un’erronea inserzione dei relè della serie S è comunque
impedita dal fatto che ogni tipo di relè presenta una diversa chiave
di codifica che non permette di innestarlo su una controbase
corrispondente ad un tipo diverso. Dopo aver inserito la parte
estraibile sulla controbase, si devono serrare a fondo, ma senza
esercitare uno sforzo eccessivo, le quattro viti di bloccaggio
accessibili attraverso le maniglie frontali. Infine si può applicare
la calotta protettiva trasparente mediante montaggio a scatto.
Per asportare la calotta frontale occorre fare leva in modo da
ruotare leggermente verso l’alto la parte della calotta che appog-
gia sulla maniglia superiore del relè; ciò può essere ottenuto più
agevolmente infilando la lama di un cacciavite nell’apposita
feritoria posta in corrispondenza della maniglia superiore.
La calotta frontale può essere sigillata in modo da evitare
manomissioni delle tarature o attivazione del ciclo di prova
mediante il pulsante TEST, da parte di persone non autorizzate.
Inoltre se non si asporta preventivamente la calotta frontale, non
è possibile svitare le viti di bloccaggio ed estrarre il relè di
protezione dalla sua controbase.
