Product functions
Switching on/o
1. Make sure the chain brake is disengaged (see above).
2. Ensure the saw chain (3) does not come into contact with
anything before starting the product.
3. Grip the product with both hands, your left hand holding the
front handle (1) (do not hold the front hand guard) and your right
hand holding the rear handle (15). Do not start the product while
handling it with one hand.
4. Press the lock-o button (14)
with your right thumb, then
fully press the on/o switch
(13) with your index nger
and hold in this position (Fig.
6).
5. Release the on/o switch (13)
to switch the product o.
2. Chain brake test
Perform the following function check before each use. The purpose
of the chain brake testing is to reduce the possibility of injury due to
kickback.
1). Switch the product on as described below.
2). While the motor is running, activate the chain brake by rolling
your left hand forward against the front hand guard (2). Saw
chain (3) and motor should stop immediately.
WARNING! If the saw chain and motor fail to stop when
the chain brake is engaged, take the product to the nearest
authorised dealer or service centre! Do not use the product if
the chain brake is not in working properly!
WARNING! The front hand guard should not be used for
stopping the product during normal operation!
WARNING! The product will continue to work for some time
even after the motor has been switched o! Wait until it
comes to a complete stop before you put the product down!
