Operation
1. To become procient attend a recognised chain saw training
course to learn how to operate chain saws safely and eectively.
Familiarise yourself with all the controls and switches. Practise
all movements with the product switched o.
2. Always hold the product rmly with both hands. Hold the front
handle (1) with your left hand and the rear handle (15) with your
right hand. Fully grip both handles at all times during operation.
Never operate the product using only one hand.
3. Ensure the extension cord is located to the rear, away from the
saw chain and the wood and is positioned so that it cannot be
caught on branches or similar objects during cutting.
4. Only use the product with a secure stance. Hold the product at
the right-hand side of your body (Fig. 7a).
5. Check the proper lubrication as described in section “Before you
start - Chain lubrication” before performing any cut
6. Ensure the saw chain (3) is running at full speed before it makes
contact with the wood. Use the spiked bumper (8) to secure
the product onto the wood before starting to cut and use it as a
leverage point while cutting (Fig. 7b).
