Adding Engine Oil Adding Fuel
DO NOT attempt to crank or start the
engine before it has been properly
lled with the recommended type
and amount of oil. Damage to the
engine as a result of failing to follow
these instructions will void your
warranty.
Gasoline vapors are highly
ammable and extremely explosive.
Place the chipper/shredder on a at,
level surface.
Remove the oil ll cap/dipstick to add
oil.
Using a funnel, add oil and replace the
oil ll cap/dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL.
Check the engine oil level before every
use and add as needed.
Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded gasoline
with a minimum octane rating of 87 and
an ethanol content of less than 10% by
volume.
DO NOT mix oil with gasoline.

Place the chipper/shredder on a
at, level surface.
Remove the gasoline cap.
Slowly add gasoline to the tank.
DO NOT OVERFILL. Gasoline can
expand after lling. A minimum
of 6.4mm (1/4in) of space left in
the tank is required for gasoline
expansion, although more than
6.4mm (1/4in) is recommended.
Gasoline can be forced out of the
tank as a result of expansion if
overlled and can aect the stable
running condition of the chipper/
shredder.
Screw on the gasoline cap and
wipe away any spilled fuel.

Connecting the Battery
(TSSH05E Only)
Using the included mount, attach
battery to the front of the chipper
below the inlet chute.
Connect the red wire to the red
(positive) terminal.
Connect the black wire (green sleeve)
to the black (negative) terminal.
