GeneralMowingTips
•Cleartheareaofsticks,stones,wire,branches,andother
debristhatthebladecouldhit.
•Avoidstrikingsolidobjectswiththeblade.Never
deliberatelymowoveranyobject.
•Ifthemowerstrikesanobjectorstartstovibrate,
immediatelystoptheengine,disconnectthewirefrom
thesparkplug,andexaminethemowerfordamage.
•Forbestperformance,installanewbladebeforethe
cuttingseasonbegins.
•ReplacethebladewhennecessarywithaToro
replacementblade.
CuttingGrass
•Cutonlyaboutathirdofthegrassbladeatatime.Donot
cutbelowthe2-inch(51mm)settingunlessthegrassis
sparseoritislatefallwhengrassgrowthbeginstoslow
down.RefertoAdjustingtheCuttingHeight.
•Whencuttinggrassover6inches(15cm)tall,mowatthe
highestcuttingheightsettingandwalkslower;thenmow
againatalowersettingforthebestlawnappearance.If
thegrassistoolong,themowermayplugandcausethe
enginetostall.
•Mowonlydrygrassorleaves.Wetgrassandleavestend
toclumpontheyardandcancausethemowertoplug
ortheenginetostall.
