What to do if my Toro 14-38Z TimeCutter engine will not start?

If your Toro Lawn Mower engine won't start, starts with difficulty, or doesn't keep running, several issues could be to blame. Begin by checking if the fuel tank is empty and fill it if necessary. Ensure the fuel valve is open. If the engine still doesn't start, make sure the choke is on. Also, inspect the air cleaner for dirt and clean or replace the element. Check that the spark plug wire(s) are securely connected to the spark plug. If the spark plug(s) is pitted, fouled, or has an incorrect gap, replace it with a new, correctly gapped one. Inspect the fuel filter for dirt and replace if necessary. Finally, ensure that the oil level in the crankcase is sufficient, adding oil if it's low.
