  The engine may fail to start due to several reasons. Ensure the PTO (Blade Engage) knob is in the OFF position and the parking brake is engaged. Check that the spark plug wire is connected, the throttle control is in the FAST position, and the choke is activated. Also, the fuel line might be blocked, the spark plug could be faulty, or the engine might be flooded. In these cases, clean the fuel line or replace the fuel filter; clean, adjust the gap, or replace the spark plug; or crank the engine with the throttle in the FAST position.
