thegrassandleafclippingsbackintothelawn.
Ifthegrassbagisonthemower,removeit(refer
toRemovingtheGrassBag)beforemulchingthe
clippings.Ifthesidedischargechuteisonthemower,
removeitandlockthesidedischargedoor(referto
RemovingtheSideDischargeChute)beforemulching
theclippings.
Important:Themowerhasasafetyswitchthat
preventsyoufromstartingthemowerunlessyou
rstinstallthemulchplugsecurelyonthemower
(Figure28).

Usethegrassbagwhenyouwanttocollectgrassand
leafclippingsfromthelawn.
Ifthesidedischargechuteisonthemower,removeit
andlockthesidedischargedoor(refertoRemovingthe
SideDischargeChute)beforebaggingtheclippings.
Aworngrassbagcouldallowsmallstones
andothersimilardebristobethrowninthe
operator’sorbystander’sdirectionandresultin
seriouspersonalinjuryordeathtotheoperator
orbystanders.
Checkthegrassbagfrequently.Ifitis
damaged,installanewTororeplacementbag.
Thebladeissharp;contactingthebladecan
resultinseriouspersonalinjury.
Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
