The fuel-shutoff valve could be closed, so open it. If the engine is cold, ensure the choke is closed; if it's warm, open the choke. Check if the air cleaner is dirty and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure the spark-plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug. Inspect the spark plug for damage or incorrect gap and replace it with a new, correctly gapped one if needed. Also, check the fuel filter for dirt and replace it if necessary. If you suspect dirt, water, or stale fuel is in the fuel system, contact an Authorized Service Dealer.
