Neverattempttomakeanyadjustmentswhiletheengine
isrunning(exceptwhenspecicallyrecommendedby
manufacturer).
Stayalertforhiddenhazardsortrafc.
Afterstrikingaforeignobject,stoptheengine,remove
theignitionkey,thoroughlyinspectthemachineforany
damage,andrepairthedamagebeforerestartingand
operatingthemachine.
Ifthemachineshouldstarttovibrateabnormally,stop
theengineandcheckimmediatelyforthecause.
Donotruntheengineindoors,exceptwhenstarting
theengineandfortransportingthemachineinorout
ofthebuilding.Opentheoutsidedoors;exhaustfumes
aredangerous.
Donotoverloadthemachinecapacitybyattemptingto
clearsnowattoofastarate.
Nevertouchahotengineormufer.
Thoroughlyinspecttheelectricalcordbeforeplugging
itintoapowersource.Ifthecordisdamaged,donot
useittostartthemachine.Replacethedamagedcord
immediately.Unplugthepowercordwheneveryouare
notstartingthemachine.

primersothataircannotescapefromtheprimerhole.
Important:Donotusetheprimerorthechokeif
theenginehasbeenrunningandishot.Excessive
primingmayoodtheengineandpreventitfrom
starting.

machine,andpushtheelectric-startbutton(Model
38473only)(Figure18),orpulltherecoil-starthandle
(Figure19).
