  If the engine of your Toro Lawn tractor will not start, starts hard, or fails to keep running, make sure you are sitting on the seat. Then, fill the fuel tank with gasoline, clean or replace the air cleaner element, connect the wire to the spark plug, install a new, correctly-gapped spark plug, adjust the throttle cable, replace the fuel filter, or adjust the carburetor idle speed and idle mixture. If the issue persists, further assistance may be needed.
