1.Installthebladeontothespindleshaft().
Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblademustbe
pointingupwardtowardtheinsideofthemowerto
ensurepropercutting.
2.Installthebladestiffener,thecurvedwasher(cupped
sidetowardtheblade)andthebladebolt(
).
3.Torquethebladeboltto35-65ft-lb(47-88N-m).
LevelingtheMowerDeck
Checktoensurethemowerdeckislevelanytimeyouinstall
themowerorwhenyouseeanunevencutonyourlawn.
Themowerdeckmustbecheckedforbentbladespriorto
leveling;anybentbladesmustberemovedandreplaced.Refer
totheCheckingforBentBladesprocedurebeforecontinuing.
Themowerdeckmustbeleveledside-to-siderstthenthe
fronttorearslopecanbeadjusted.
Requirements:
Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
Allfourtiremustbeproperlyinated.RefertoChecking
theTirePressureintheDriveSystemMaintenance
section.
LevelingtheMowerfromSide-to-Side
Themowerbladesmustbelevelfromsidetoside.Checkthe
side-to-sidelevelanytimeyouinstallthemowerorwhenyou
seeanunevencutonyourlawn.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
bladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothepark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Checktheairpressureofallfourtires.Ifneeded,adjust
totherecommendedination;refertoCheckingthe
TirePressureintheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
4.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothe3inch(76mm)
position.
5.Carefullyrotatetheblade(s)sidetoside().Measure
betweentheoutsidecuttingedgesandtheatsurface
().Ifbothmeasurementsarenotwithin3/16inch
(5mm),anadjustmentisrequired;continuewiththis
procedure.
