ServiceInterval:Every200hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)—Replacethefuellter.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedposition,andsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Closethefuelshutoffvalve(Figure41).

•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethat
thefueltanksdraincompletely.
2.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO),settheparking
brake,stoptheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Closethefuelshutoffvalve(Figure41).
4.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure41).
5.Disconnectthefuellinefromthefuellter
(Figure41).
6.Openthefuelshutoffvalve.
Note:Allowgasolinetodrainintoafuelcontainer
canordrainpan(Figure41).
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
7.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothefuelltertosecurethefuelline
(Figure41).
