Beforeservicingorremovingthemowerdeck,the
springloadeddeckarmsmustbelockedout.
Deckliftarmassemblieshavestoredenergy.
Removingthedeckwithoutreleasingthe
storedenergycancauseseriousinjuryordeath.
DoNotattempttodisassemblethedeckfrom
thefrontframewithoutlockingoutthestored
energy.
1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Removetheheightadjustmentpinandlowerthe
decktotheground.
3.Placetheheightadjustmentpininthe3inch(7.6cm)
cuttingheightlocation.Thislocksthedeckliftarms
inthelowestpositionwhenthedeckisremovedand
thestoredenergyinthedeckspringisreleased.
4.Removethebeltcovers.
5.Liftuptheoorpanandinsertaratchetintothe
squareholeinthedeckidler(Figure96).
6.Rotatethedeckidlerclockwiseandremovethe
mowerbelt(Figure96).
