Lubrication
GreasingandLubrication
Greasemorefrequentlywhenoperatingconditionsare
extremelydustyorsandy.
GreaseType:No.2general-purpose,lithium-basedor
molybdenum-basedgrease
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheneutral-lockedposition
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Cleanthegreasettingswitharag.Makesuretoscrape
anypaintoffthefrontofthetting(s).
4.Connectagreaseguntothetting.Pumpgrease
intothettingsuntilgreasebeginstooozeoutofthe
bearings.
5.Wipeupanyexcessgrease.

4.Greasethettingsonthetopofthe3spindlebearings
untilgreasecomesout(Figure40).
