RemovingtheFilter
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch(PTO),andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerandpull
theair-cleanercoverofftheair-cleanerbody
(Figure58).

InstallingtheFilter
Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewiththeairlterandthecover
installed.
1.Ifyouareinstallinganewlter,checkthelter
forshippingdamage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Carefullyslidethelterintotheair-cleanerbody
(Figure58).
Note:Ensurethatthelterisfullyseatedby
pushingontheouterrimwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoft,inside
areaofthelter.
3.Installtheair-cleanercoverandsecurethe
latches(Figure58).
