Engineoilquantity:1.65L(1-3/4USqt)withlter
1.Removethedrainplug(Figure31)andletthe
oilowintoadrainpan.

sealant,andinstallthedrainplug(Figure31).

4.Applyalightcoatofcleanoiltothenewlter
gasket.

contactsthelteradapter,thentightenit3/4to1
turnfurther.Donotovertightenit.
6.Addoiltothecrankcase;refertoChecking
theEngineOil(page30)andEngineOil
Specication(page30).
7.Disposeoftheoillterandusedoilproperly.

Airgapspecication:0.76mm(0.030inch)
1.Cleantheareaaroundthesparkplugssothat
foreignmattercannotfallintothecylinder.
2.Pullthewiresoffthesparkplugsandremove
theplugs.
3.Checktheconditionofthesideelectrode,center
electrode,andcenterelectrodeinsulatorto
ensurethatthereisnodamage.
Important:Replaceacracked,fouled,dirty,
orotherwisemalfunctioningsparkplug.Do
notsandblast,scrape,orcleanelectrodes
byusingawirebrushbecausegritmay
eventuallyreleasefromtheplug,fallintothe
cylinder,anddamagetheengine.
4.Settheairgapbetweenthecenterandsideof
theelectrodesat0.76mm(0.030inches)as
showninFigure32.
