DeterminingtheErrorCode
Thesystemwilldisplaythelast3faultsthatoccurred
inthelast40hours.Itdisplaysthefaultsthrougha
seriesofblinkinglights,asfollows:
Iftherearenofaults,thelightwillblinksteadilyat
amediumratewithoutpauses(1Hz).
Ifthereisafault,itwillrstblinkthetensplace,
followedbyapause,followedbytheonesplace.
Forthefollowingexamples,a#representsablink.

Storage
Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodof
time,theperformfollowingsteps:
StorageSafety
Shutoffthemachine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovementtostopbeforeyouleavethe
operatorsposition.Allowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
Donotstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheaterorotherappliance.
PreparingtheMachinefor
Storage
1.Alwaysshutofftheengine,removethekey(if
equipped),waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andallowthemachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,
cleaning,storing,orrepairingthemachine.
2.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrass
clippings.Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,if
necessary;refertothecuttingunitOperator's
Manual.Coatthebedknivesandreelblades
witharustpreventive.Oilalllubricationpoints.
3.Raiseandsupportthemachinetoremoveits
weightfromthetires.
4.Replacethehydraulicuidandlter.Inspectthe
hydrauliclinesandttings,andreplacedamaged
orwornpartsasneeded.RefertoChanging
theHydraulicFilter(page37),Changingthe
HydraulicFluid(page37),andCheckingthe
HydraulicLinesandHoses(page38).
5.Allfuelshouldberemovedfromthefueltank.
Runtheengineuntilitshutsoff.Replacethefuel
lter;refertoReplacingtheFuelFilter(page32).
6.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfrom
thecrankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilandFilter(page31).
7.Removethesparkplugs,pour30ml(1oz)of
SAE30oilintothecylinders,andcrankslowlyto
distributetheoil.Replacethesparkplugs;refer
toReplacingtheSparkPlugs(page31).
8.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinder
headns,andblowerhousing.
9.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully;referto
ServicingtheBattery(page32).Eitherstoreit
ontheshelforonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifitisstoredonthemachine.
Storethebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoid
quickdeteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.
